Beer and Board Games

Last night, I re-watched an old episode of Parks and Recreation, where Ben celebrated his bachelor party the best way he knew how- beer and board games. The boys thought he was joking when he described his perfect night, but he wasn’t, so they indulged him with a game of Settlers of Catan. Out of boredom, they eventually suggested they hit up Pawnee’s hottest, new bar.

Well, I think board games can actually be fun and you don’t even need to be a bachelor to play! In my home, we hold family game nights. I usually kick their little behinds in Banangrams, but last time, my brother crushed us in Catan. Winners and losers aside, board games are a great way to spend quality time with friends and family. Some of my favorites are Settlers of Catan, Monopoly, Banangrams, Headbandz, and Apples to Apples. Whichever game you choose though, I’m sure you’ll have a blast!
